Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to Ryecroft School, I am Daryl Hill and it is a privilege to call myself the Headteacher of this wonderful School.
I have taught and been a leader in specialist education settings for the last 16 years. I have been a Headteacher for the last 6 years and I love my role. I am married, have 2 children and we have a dog called Belle who we are training to be a therapy dog!
I have a great passion for pastoral care and ensuring pupils are well cared for and that their personal development and education with us is promoted each and every day.
When I’m not at work I enjoy going to the gym, doing open water swimming and my favourite food has to be sweet and sour chicken!

Kimm Atkins – Deputy Headteacher
I have been a teacher for 16years, working for the latter half of my career with complex SEN pupils. I have been married for 17years and have 3 wonderful children, one of whom has diagnosed Autism.
I absolutely love SEN curriculums and when pupils in schools meet their targets, especially working alongside Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy.
I am so excited to share our wonderful school with you and your family!
James Campbell – Pastoral Manager
I’m James, and I am proud to serve as the Pastoral Manager at Ryecroft School.
My journey in education began in 2016 as a lunchtime supervisor at an SEN school. Since then, I have had the privilege of working as a teaching assistant and behaviour support assistant in both SEN and SEMH schools. These experiences have deepened my passion for supporting children with additional needs and empowering them to flourish in their learning and personal development.
Outside of work, I’m happily married and enjoy exploring my interests in the automotive industry, electromechanical and digital technology. I also have nostalgia for retro video games, classic gaming consoles and vintage technology —a hobby that keeps me connected to the past while continuing to learn and grow into the future.
Belle – Trainee Therapy Dog
Hello, I am Belle, and I am the School’s trainee therapy Dog. I love coming to school and spending time with the pupils and the staff. My favourite hobbies are running around the woods, and I love eating bacon sizzler dog treats.
Love from Belle
